Enjoy exploring and learning more about our local 75-year history of sisterhood, service, programs and projects firmly rooted in our beloved Sorority’s international history established in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C.
We are pleased to present the 2022-2026 International Program under the theme Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service.
During the 116-year history of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, we have partnered with our local communities, regional, and national organizations to solve problems as well as provide programs of service at home and abroad. HBCU support, health and wellness, the arts, and economic well-being are among the critical issues impacting the quality of life for African Americans that we will address during the next four years.
With excellence as our guide and sustainable service as our focus, the 2022-2026 international program agenda provides opportunities for our 300,000 members, operating in more than 1,000 chapters, to meet the needs of the communities we serve. The sorority’s past initiatives have changed the social and economic landscape of our nation, and we will continue to make a difference worldwide for decades to come.
We will work with heightened enthusiasm and incredible passion, joining hands as we implement initiatives under our theme Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service, to inspire our communities and renew our efforts to be of service to all mankind.
